Full feature list
Everything Mow Quote does, grouped by the part of the business it serves.
A one-person business is the starting point, with crew tools available only when needed.
Mow Quote is one platform: it works out how long the work takes and what it
must be priced at, then runs the accepted work through scheduling, crews,
completion, invoicing and reporting.
Where the price comes from
A Mow Quote price is built from estimated job time and your real operating costs, not from a lawn area alone. The app works out how long the work should take from your calibrated mower and your own task productivity rates, then prices that time using what the crew and equipment on that job actually cost you, and checks the result against your target hourly rate before you send it.
Satellite lawn measurement is one optional input that feeds the mowing time calculation. It does not set the price on its own.
This all happens on the phone, standing at the property. Mow Quote is a mobile app first, on iPhone, iPad and Android, with a browser version for desk work when you want it.
What Mow Quote is, in one paragraph
Mow Quote is a complete operating platform for lawn care, gardening, spraying, turf and landscaping businesses. It works out how long the work takes and what it must be priced at, then runs the accepted job from there. Job-time forecasting, cost-based pricing and per-quote profitability checking sit in the same app as client records, secure customer approval, scheduling, route planning, crew permissions, chemical compliance records, invoicing, accounting sync and business reporting. It is available on iPhone and iPad, on Android, and in the browser.
How Mow Quote differs from specialist alternatives
Some apps help price the job.
Others help run it.
Mow Quote brings both sides together around lawn and garden work.
Start by forecasting job time, pricing from real costs and checking each
service against a target hourly rate on site from a phone.
The exact accepted quote then carries into client records, scheduling,
completion, invoicing and profitability reporting.
It also supports QuickBooks, Xero and FreshBooks invoice sync, plus US
settings and metric or imperial units.
Crew workspaces are optional later and are not required to use the quoting,
client or scheduling tools.
Job-time estimating engine
Mow Quote predicts how long work will take rather than asking you to guess a
duration.
The prediction is calibrated to the person doing the work, not to an industry average.
That distinction matters most as your speed changes.
In a first season you are slower than any published average, so quoting from
one means working longer than the quote was priced for.
Once you are quick, the same average hands back the margin your speed earned.
Every rate below is yours to set and to change, so you can start where you
actually are and tighten the rates as the work gets faster.
- Mowing time is calculated from the mower's cutting width, your overlap setting, walking speed with a speed adjustment, whether clippings are bagged, and a real-world efficiency factor that accounts for turning, obstacle work and pathing losses.
- Non-mowing tasks use productivity rates you set and tune: weeding area per hour, hedge metres per hour by hedge type, per-tree minutes with access modifiers for roof clearance, confined access, dense canopy, special equipment and height access, brush cutting area per hour, and mulch spreading by area or by volume.
- Trips and logistics are modelled, including mulch pickup trips, maximum load volume and green-waste disposal runs.
- Setup and pack-down time, a contingency percentage and booking rounding are applied on top so the booked duration is realistic.
- Estimate confidence is reported as complete, assumption-based, partial, manually confirmed or unavailable. A missing productivity rate stays unresolved instead of being replaced with an invented number.
- Recalculation lets you refresh older estimates when your settings change.
Cost-based pricing and Quote Health
- General overheads for rent, insurance, advertising, administration, utilities and your own custom recurring costs, converted into the annual amount to recover through billable work.
- Business asset register for vehicles, mowers, battery tools, trimmers, edgers and chainsaws, with ownership, maintenance, fuel or electricity and running costs. It totals an estimated annual fleet running cost and shows each asset's cost per working hour or per kilometre, reported separately from general overheads so nothing is counted twice.
- Cost teams for solo, two-person or custom crews, with named staff costs or a simple total hourly staff cost, and the specific assets each team normally uses.
- Team-based minimum charge that combines the selected team's staff, vehicle and equipment costs with return travel, overhead recovery, unbilled owner and team time, a profit goal and GST settings, so you can compare crew configurations without rebuilding the calculation. The breakdown shows travel, loading, work time, allocated equipment and overhead costs line by line.
- Quote Health, the guardrail against undercharging, compares each calculable service's price and estimated labour time against your target hourly rate. It flags services as healthy, needing review or below target, shows whether the gap comes from price, estimated time or job logistics, and shows the required price beside the time the current price supports.
- Reporting, not silent editing. Quote Health surfaces the source settings for review and never changes the quote on its own.
- Profitability dashboard with revenue, cost and margin for completed work, broken down by labour, fuel, overheads and other categories.
Quoting and documents
- Five quote builders: lawn and garden, renovations, turf installation, spraying and cleanups.

Platform and setup
- Mobile app first: native iPhone and iPad on the Apple App Store, native Android on Google Play. Quotes are built on site at the property rather than back at a desk. A browser web app at mow-quote.com/app is there for office work when you want it - it is a full version for desk use, not the main product, and the mobile apps are not extensions of it.
- No payroll. Mow Quote has no payroll, timesheet or wage calculation feature. Staff cost appears only as an hourly figure used to work out what a job costs to perform.
- Not an accounting package. Invoices are sent through to QuickBooks Online, Xero or FreshBooks - Mow Quote does not replace them, do your bookkeeping or reconcile your bank feed.
- Metric and imperial units.
- Editable document wording and tax label, so quotes can read as Estimates and GST can read as Sales Tax or VAT.
- Essential quoting tools work with no account, no trial clock and no subscription.
- Signed-in accounts sync business records between devices, subject to plan.
- Built in Perth, Western Australia by people who run lawn and garden jobs.
Worth knowing
The five points people most often ask us to confirm when they are comparing Mow Quote with something else.
- Built for one-person rounds first.
A solo mowing round is the core user, not an edge case. The free tools, the free Starter account and the Basic plan are all built for someone working alone. Crews, worker logins and shared calendars sit on the Professional plan and are entirely optional - you never meet them if you work on your own, and there is no per-seat cost or minimum team size.
It also grows with you. The same app covers day one with no account, a busy solo round, and a first hire running a second crew. Moving up is a plan change, not a migration: clients, quotes, job history and pricing settings carry straight across, so choosing Mow Quote now does not mean replacing it later. - Pricing accuracy is core, not an add-on.
Job-time forecasting, real crew and equipment costing, minimum-charge calculation and per-service Quote Health are built into every quote. - The whole job runs in one app.
Accepted quotes become scheduled jobs, jobs become completed work, and completed work becomes invoices and profitability reporting. - All three platforms are live.
The native iPhone and iPad app is on the Apple App Store, the native Android app is on Google Play, and the web app runs in your browser. - Quoting is free, permanently.
The quote builders, satellite lawn measurement and job calculators need no account, no trial clock and no subscription.
This is a free tier rather than a free trial. There is no expiry date and no point at which quoting stops working.
Quoting happens on your phone, so it costs us nothing to run and it stays free. You only pay once you want your work kept online - saved clients and job history, customer quote links, and the same records on another device. - Metric or imperial, in your own wording.
Mow Quote is built in Australia and priced in Australian dollars by default, and it runs in either unit system.
Set the wording on quote documents to Quote or Estimate, and rename GST to Sales Tax, VAT or whatever your market calls it.
